What happens when life takes such a turn that you find yourself in a burn?

It’s a burn that ignites from boredom, from mental tire and repetition.

What happens when they don’t give what you deserve?

A hint of bait, dragging you along the way, reverse.

What happens when promises are not kept?

Just thrown around empty until she realises they’ve just been bred.

What happens when it hits her in the head?

A document so bland, it wasn’t in the plan.

What happens when she realises all her effort’s been in vain?

A space supposed to be a haven, but turning into a drain.

What happens when you think you’ve done great?

Only to realise, they don’t treat you like a big game.

What happens when it all rests on that one percentage?

But you don’t get what you hope for, because they don’t care about your change.

What happens when it’s that time of the year?

The time to bundle achievements and flush out the fear.

What happens when life finally takes that turn?
